Conceptual Disjunction

Conceptual Disjunction

A Story by neurostar burns

(Assuredly not first time addressed)
In general society, a word used for deepened anxiety or worry or self doubt is "depression". Looking at this word and usage widely applied, it does not present a well focused analytical term or tool. It seems to be a broad brush or catch-all.
Looking at depressive incidents, there seems to be several kinds: bio-chemical, neurological, emotional, which in modern times may involve serotonin and likely at some time affect human behavior.
Less biological is conceptual disjunction. This focuses more on the role of the affects with concepts we entertain or adhere to. Much  of our living is based on concepts on which we use as guidelines for our activities and accordingly rely upon/become dependent. Early on waking, for example, we think to ourselves, what will this day be like? Thereby urging input to plan or proceed, although previous concepts were already entertained as in dreaming.
So this will address a more subtle source of depression we may not always consider-Conceptual disjunction or disengagement. What is the impact on someone when their concept(s) are disrupted or displaced?
The loss of a familiar concept to one may result in a conceptual depression because the mind has lost its familiar concept at hand which results in a conceptualizing vacuity in that mind temporarily or long term.
That may or not show up in behavior. Nevertheless, an unplanned vacuity, even a microsecond, is created in one's own thought pattern, knowingly or unknowingly. One's sense of conceptualizing continuity is disrupted. May be disconcerting.
People might not be able to express for theirself. It may be an untraceable depression not due to chemical change but at a very subtle level and they may not be able to forge concepts in their mind temporarily (a couple seconds) or long term. This may occur simply by interruption (the wise sought first undisturbed environments).
For such affected people, it may not be enough (as they thought) to merely escape or go to live in remote communities or settings. The problem is within in regards to disruption of conceptual disjunction.
An illustration, with modern setting.
For example, when planning, usually many thoughts (concepts) are bandied about by different people. Probably each individual  has confidence in their concept they wish to present.
It may well happen, for example, that one's concept may not prevail and some other concept is adopted. For that person whose concept did not prevail, they shall suffer a conceptual disjunction. They have to eject their own concept, resulting in a concept vacuity in their thinking.  A depression, short or long term. It is a personal affect loss. They are to adjust, if they feel it is possible, and adapt to some other concept.
Their situation might not be exhibited openly and hence, the depression remains at the conceptual level. This is a vacuity that is not always readily recognized or considered.
This, of course, occurs also with oneself. Even by oneself one experiences parades of concepts coming and going. Disjunction also occurs there.
However, for this presentation, this is not about thoughts and composed thought lines or constructs. This is about the primordial concept, and its nature.
Concepts are first, first impression that impacts the senses and thereafter the mind. This occurs before any kind of assessment begins or formulates. Before one constructs a thought, there are concepts, e.g. is the atmosphere warm or cold/is there light? These are no deliberations upon first contact.
