Save our Galaxy !A Story by neurostar burnsForget 'save the planet' Save our galaxy! Where is the super duper being that will save our racing galaxy? It is all relative they have said, from Einstein and on. Just a matter of scope and perspective. Draw back far enough and everything is seen arranged differently. Oh, oh, missed a big one. Our galaxy is racing for the life of its existence. How did relativity miss that? Standing motionless, you think? Hardly! Our Milky Way is racing at 1.4 million miles per hour to escape a fate. What is that and how was it missed by Einstein and others?? Our galaxy is near the outskirts of an awesome 250 million light year wide void. In other words, it takes light at light speed 250 million light years to cross this dark abyss! All darkness with only two dwarf galaxies in all that space. That is what our galaxy and Andromeda are trying to escape. The edge of this void, local void or Tully's Void, is about 3.4 million light years from our location. Will we escape it? Uncertain. It might be answered at about the time our Sun is coming to an end-about 4.5 billion years.
