In terms of complete liberation

In terms of complete liberation

A Story by neurostar burns

summuti-conventional

vikalpollikhita-conceptually imagined (brought into presence)
nijjivata-being without a "soul", nivrtti=liberation, total release. Pratisamkhya niroda = 'deliberate extinction'.

A point provided indicates that if one continually practices or lives the ways of common thinking without further analysis and exhaustive investigation, then one might not become aware of higher realities.

Example entries from Red Pine's  translations, "The Zen Teachings of Bodhidharma":

"Someone who understands the teaching of mortals is a mortal. A mortal can give up the teaching of mortals and follow the teaching of sages becomes a sage. But the fools of this world prefer to look for sages far away. They don't believe that the wisdom of their own mind  is the sage...They fall prey to falsehood and lose their minds to insanity."

"Even so, the mind neither moves nor functions, because the existence of its functioning is emptiness  and emptiness is essentially motionless. Motion is the same as the mind. And the mind is essentially motionless."

"a buddha is an idle person. He doesn't run around after fame and fortune."

"A buddha isn't energetic or lazy. A buddha is someone who does nothing, someone who can't even focus his mind on a buddha. A buddha isn't a buddha."
