A Test of strength of will power

It is also practiced in many cultures around the world.

In many texts, there are statements about the strength of the independent individual will power.

In some facilities this is put to a test with the willing public at times. This especially occurs with some retreats, in part to see if the individuals are strong enough to stand on their own.

At these places the public attend with a facilitator or abbot.

Under these premises and supervision, they practice as follows:

During their stay there will be a separation of the genders throughout the ascribed time.

All women will occupy different buildings, etc. from men, they will eat separately from men, sleep separately from men, hold their practices separately from men and the same for the men will be separate from women.  This occurs for all whether single, married or in a way coupled. The genders will practice separately.

This may test their real resolve and determine if they can practice and live apart without disturbance to theirself and the general pursuits of the practices. It may gauge the strength of character of each.

This is common and accepted and even considered training in some cultures. It may help people to find their own capacity to operate by theirself and make the character stronger.

It goes without saying, for this, it is sometimes noticed that even for a weekend or short time that during this gender separation that some women get the willies being separated and some men start finding theirselves becoming doubtful over time.

Make of this kind of test as one will.

It is true as testified by abbots and facilitators on sustaining or building will power  by oneself.
