"Worm holes forever"

"Worm holes forever"

A Story by neurostar burns

What if two black holes, close together, had a worm hole developed between them? Could that mean that all the dynamic action seen between the black holes are those black holes tearing up the worm hole??
The accepted physics of today don't wish to support that postulation. And most scientists think a worm hole would not last long enough for interactional dynamics. But quantum mechanics might not totally close the door on that.
Traveling through a worm hole may be a one directional trip. Diandian Wang of University of California, Santa Barbara says if a worm hole can spontaneously change shape with the alignment of space curvature which could widen the worm hole more that it is said that they could under normal physics. Something wrested from string theory. Wang says if a worm hole stabilizes in the universe's physics, it could hang around indefinitely. But cautions this would not be an avenue for time travel and other speculations.

Saying "what if" without being able to point to some supporting science is exactly as valid as if I said, "What if a wormhole formed in every supermarket on Thursday?" To then go on as if that "what-if" had gained validity by simply being postulated, is what we call sophistry.

And you can't say that physic doesn't wish to support your hypothesis, as if you've presented it in a scientific journal, it flat-out doesn't hold together because there is no science involved. Nowhere has anyone suggested that two black holes close together (what does that even mean? Feet apart of parsecs? You don't hint) would call into being a wormhole. Einstein's math says that one is theoretically possible, but only theoretically. It also says that if it did, it couldn't last. In fact Stephen Hawking says that if even one molecule enters a wormhole it will immediately collapse.

And, Wang, the man you quote, is a grad student, not a working physicist. Be careful of cherry-picking, by selecting opinions you favor, without looking at everything on the subject.

The scientific method, as first defined by Carl Popper, isn't to seek what will back up your hypothesis. It's to make a diligent attempt to disprove it. Only if you're unable to disprove it, can you declare it a theory.
