A Higgs mythos

Earlier before its confirmation, the Higgs Boson garnered all sorts of attention about the importance of confirming it and it was a foundation of the presence of matter, etc. That it was important to origin of presence of matter immediately after the Big Bang.

Since its confirmation, it has been assessed that Higgs doesn't quite live up to the hype. That its role in all the above accolade is in fact partial, even miniscule for the presence of matter and role in contributing to matter at the beginning of the cosmos. Other factors remain dominant for the above considerations for the sense of order.
