Where the N..! is Elugelab?

A Story by neurostar burns

In  November 1,1952  an air force pilot flew his plane into a 'hot cloud' that was 27 miles high over the Pacific Ocean, that was the focus of Operation Ivy at the Marshall Islands. He reported back over radio that it was hotter than a furnace inside his cockpit. He  was never heard from again.
He was flying over the site of an island of the South Pacific Ocean. He flew into the towering mushroom cloud. The island was no more in existence. Elugelab and its surrounding coral was obliterated from all maps. The site of a nuclear test. It may have been the only Pacific isle that was wiped off the map by nuclear testing. The area is uninhabitable.
[So...where the N (uked) is Elugelab? Where the Nixed is Elugelap?]
This was a test result of a newly built digital device, Mathematical and Numerical Integrator and Computer, MANIAC. Largely under supervision of John von Neumann.
