Banshee of the mind

Banshee of the mind

A Poem by neurostar burns

With pools of shadowy eye
She does find me,

From a horizon unseen
Quieter than any whispering breeze,

Passing out from an unseen veil
Traipsing over the land with all avail,

Gliding prevalently over the countryside
That nothing may stay her stride 'til she be by my side,

She then falls in step and locks myself with her
Cooing her burn of yearn to learn in my ear,

For this I did bid her to be  a phantom of mine
To be my companion and ease my mind,

Tho for the rest of time I know her not
Nor of her amorphous nature I wonder naught,

For, among the living, the service of silence eternal cannot be bought.

The wit of her wisdom shan't cause me fraught

Harrowing as she may seem, she brings me no fright
Rather from her realm sublime, 'tis a wizen delight,

A wizen delight both both faery and frail
Like a rainbow in the sky smitten with colors of a grail,

What colors are a grail-hewen dark and gloomy
or sparkly, bright and cheery?

No one can understand this phantom of mine
That comes, at any time, to read my mind,

This companion most every time
Comes at a summons and reads my every clime,

And Understands it all with no retreat
Rather to engage in discussion she will entreat:

"I am here dear, tell me everything in my ear
So I will know all that you now hold dear."
She whispers in my ear.

"Share me your dreams of life," her shadow implores
And see if with me, if it's anything more.

Tell me dearly of your whims and hopes
And if in them you cannot find peace, then to my arms elope."

Thus, with a light flair
She unbiddenly joins me in all of my life's share.

This companion to me has shown
That I will never fear to tread this world alone.

She will be with me through thick and thin
No matter where my path may wend.

Can you hone with an audible sigh
Or does this realm keep your conscious silent and nigh?
