Depths Unveiled

Depths Unveiled

A Poem by neurostar burns

Talk on with all avail !

Even though you talk through this veiled velvet vale.

So now say you that my effort and might

Compared to this universe is trivial and trite?

That all my prosperity on this ground sown

Is but the making for the resting of my bones?

Count surely of the many an hour

Thoughtfully put in to enhance my dower.

What of my actions good, discreet and being tenacious

While refraining from being pernicious?

Where upon me do you find that I lack

The dedication to finish my worldly tasks intact?

Why say you that my toil upon this soil

Is but only a ploy through spoil,

To cover with a charade

Life's passing parade?

And you charge because of how I use my time,

I have strayed from the universal rhyme?

Against your proposal to listen, I petition,

Of the weighty (and grave) theme of restitution.

Alas, of the the world of my past youthful temperance,

Of it there is no rememberance.

O Whereupon this world is there deliverance

From the wroughtful realm of penance?

For how can one justify in their time,

When that permeating conscience pervades every clime?

I like the message this poem conveys. The flow of the words and the language are both wonderful. The rhyming scheme has bees delivered perfectly. The end result is a masterpiece. Keep it up!
