incarnate

incarnate

A Chapter by J.M.B

slogged on the steps of the cinema

as the sun stood at the balance

of day

an elderly African offered me

a gleaming ripe orange fruit held,

in his outstretched hand

like a preacher pushing a pamphlet

of some solar deity,

incarnate

Justin, do you know that I'd read every poem you ever wrote it I could help it!?

This was, to put it simply, one of my favorites I've ever read from you. It was well crafted and I felt it was synchronized to a chord of beauty that is simply pleasing.

I'm big on your talent, I like how you strip things and still write with wit and power.
