Listening to SirensA Chapter by J.M.Bwalked around Harrods pretending we were rich, making plans to buy new accoutrements for our home,
“yes honey, £600 lampshade, no problem, i’ll write a cheque”
time elapsed, we moved into evening, bought take-outs veg burgers (with salad) chips, and chilli sauce,
i finished your chips, pinched your jalapeños,
sat eating on a bench,
while the whole road before us was closed down under power of police control.
we got home, exhausted, pecked at the little tiny buttons of the smart phone, squinting at the small screen.
looked at photographs, laughed.
fell asleep entangled in each others arms
