Malcolm X

Malcolm X

A Chapter by J.M.B

Malcolm,

Malcolm, Malcolm X

tthannnnnnnkks you!

with a wildfire hello,

and a, and a, and a-

tthannnnnnnkk you!

to the petty tyrants

in the mob -

hating  hating  hating . . .

who took away our freedoms,

turned our love into crime,

made the word “whole” illegal,

misunderstood our minds

with mad palaeolithic chemistry,

participation mystique,

of shadow projection savagery,

in fear

and blind beliefs,

like Orwell’s

national hate week,

with the thought police,

on the fringes,

invisible-to-the-indifferent,

he thanks you,

he thanks you, he -

tthannnnnnnkks you!

with love,

and a hello,

for the rebellion that changed the world,

for his poem, for his life, for his voice,

we were never yours to own

Dr Cartwright!

what f*****g disease?!

. i'm not sure i follow all the references, monsieur ... but i follow enough to know that your poetic voice is powerful and it is the voice of freedom ...
