what about the rest?

what about the rest?

A Poem by J.M.B

it was the clouds that did it all,

poured down with droplets of water

after steam first arose

out of the furious fires of earth . . .

it was the clouds

that became the seas,

and then the seas that did it all,

as solar light shone,

fathering single cells,

and a million hungry mouths

that swam,

some toward the shores of foreign sands,

it was the sun that did it all then,

like the rains that fell as well,

and the earth that turned before brains evolved,

and too afterwards as well,

the rest . . .  i don’t know about,

or at least can’t be bothered

to write

Clever and funny. You sort of tell the story of creation and then deliver the drop off last verse.Good work.
