quit bugging me

i can't stand you little insect
crawling in the shadow
of my naked foot in darkness
ambushing this night of writing
with your preying mantis smile
and repeat action wing rubbing
as i try to break free from merely poetry
with these mad syllabic experiments,
"it's alive"
