a stubborn stain

you seem like a stain on my map
who took unsuspected possession terms
without permission,  
lodged on the island somewhere south of wales
and north of europe,
like an ugly splodge of moldy jam,
and now i can't get you off without my fingers
getting dirty,
without making an awful mess
of the rest of the world,
i'm just gonna place you here by the large bay window
and sure hope the sunlight fades you
soon
