I was afraid to admit itA Poem by Vanessa Richardson
I was afraid to admit this. But it true. I admit to myself, this man is my other half.
The chase has been called off. I surrender to this thing called love.
I think I need a hug. I think of your smile, and my heart just goes WILD. I was afraid to admit this. But it is true. I pray for you. I pray for you to understand me. The real me. I pray that you see me. The real me.
I pray that you appreciate me. That you value me.
That you are dedicated to me. That you crave only me.
Know me. I can be free like the wind. Know me. I can be strong like the stone. Know me. I can be as tender as the steak you eat. I pray for your strength.
Many will try to tempt.
Yet, you think only of me.
Skin the color of pecan. A man with a solid plan. I think about you. In the midst of adversity, you do not fold.
You know God has got it all in control. I think about you. I was afraid to admit this. Now I know truth. Beloved, I cannot wait to say I do. © 2008 Vanessa RichardsonReviews
