Ballad of a spiritual soldier

We kissed our soldier goodbye

as his angel wiped tears

from our mourning eyes

His angel singing

if you believe in Christ

your soul will never die

God looked upon earth

at his soldiers

& called one of his best home

for the war to come

Because he knew

he'd still remain his soldier

even after the war was won
