perfect writing isn't sitting down and typing your book its messy late nights with too much coffee finding inspiration at the most inconvenient times scenes written on old napkins and the backs of receipts its writing and REwriting wondering if there's a point to writing at all pulling out your hair because you just cant get it right and in the end writing it for yourself because for you your characters are alive to me that is perfect writing
What I've come to think is.....perfect writing can only be done by other people. Even if I write something and it's the best thing I've ever written and it's the absolute best I can make it right now, it's still not good enough. There's always another level to strive for.
Good thing everybody's not me, or no books would ever be published.
But I think that, as long as you're satisfied with your writing, that's good enough. Like you said, you write it for yourself anyway, to please yourself, and if the characters are alive to you and mean something to you, then that's really as good as it gets.
Hi there,
So I know I have a really horrible tendency to drop off the face of the earth. No promises I wont do it again. I do that. But my husband and I are writing a book and we would love some i.. more..
