Hero

he didnt decide to be a hero,
he just wanted to help
wanted to save
the scared little girl with the blonde hair
whos car, fell into the river.

he didnt want to be a hero
he just wanted her alive
with her pleading eyes
anyone would have done it

he didnt think he'd be a hero
he didnt think at all.
just jumped into the river
after the car,
and pulled her out

but thats what they keep calling him
a hero
it could have been anyone
anyone would have done it
but they didnt.

he didnt ask to be a hero
all he wanted was to save her
the scared little girl
whos cars went into the river

and evryone seems to forget
that he was the one
who crashed into her car,
and sent her down
into the water.
