ProlougeA Chapter by AriannaSince the dawn of civilization there have been many conflicts. Be it between man and woman, Gnomes and Dwarves; or Goblins, and
basic hygiene regimens. Though none are more gruesome, grueling or honestly as
flat out stupid as the Great War between the Elves of the Silverwood Forest
and the Humans. Though it must be considered when talking about the war
between these races; that elves and humans have never been friendly. For a
number of reasons legitimate (like the elvish slave trade); or not (elves
pointed ears) War between the two was constant. However on the Twentieth
day of the Eighth month; the conflict reached the point of no return. It started with an Elvish Prince, beloved by his people as much as he was by his family. A very dangerous person to have as a martyr. Yet that was exactly what the Humans landed themselves with. A dead prince; a never
ending battle for the only water source in the entire world and all because one
very greedy king couldn’t, no; wouldn't learn to share. But that is a story for another day. What you should take away from this; is
that 200 years A.W, the first royal
blood was spilled and from that point; nothing would ever be the same. © 2017 Arianna |
