This is a short one, but it's one none the less. Hoping to get the rest of the stuff I've been working on out soon. Enjoy
Inspired by Baudelaire's poem, Be Drunk. Also worth a read
while I'm writing this I am but-naked. (But that is the fallacy of the internet.)
The message here is tremendous. You cant marvel at the stuff of prophetic indication or
significance because happenstance will change all perception, even that which foreshadows
a coming event.
One my first few hours hours of book camp, every recruit was given a bald head, a battery of
shots, had his teeth checked out and saw the doctor and all while completely naked.
Because when you are naked there is no bragging, no compitition, no condescendence and
no conversations.
Interesting write sir.. and forgive my little navy story.....dana
I know my feet is always naked...I hate shoes...and I don't wear pantyhose...I like to breathe...Im getting ready to burn my bra haa...i will be naked soon...and then I can join a nudist colony...Rose
I have only ever been truly naked a very few times. It is amazing how deep you can breathe when you can strip it all away. Nicely done, Jabberwock! Angi~
this is a gripping read.
at first glance i thought ohh yeh baby
another one of *nature*
it is a great poem which is relayed in a simplistic way which can be understood in many ways.
the becoming naked could be you leaving your old ways n all.......
nice write!!
This can be taken on two different levels. It can be taken as the litteral one and in the metaphorical one. Being able to be yourself, naked in the eyes of another, vunerable. While also being comfortable with yourself enough to do it. It's hard to be able to find someone you can trust enough to do that. Esspecially when your beliefs are different from what society deems is okay. Much like, being naked.
It's late and my thoughts are scattered in a million directions. I may have taken the metaphorical point of this poem too far, but that's what I get out of it. And it is a beautiful poem.
The shackles and chains of society's rules and morals are the only thing that cover us from true 'nakedness' (freedom). Wonderful piece, well penned. Thank you for sharing this!
