i wish...

Just a feeling I wanted to share.

I    WISH...

 

I wish you could know, 

the feelings inside me;

The urge to touch you, 

to keep you beside me.

I love the way you look at me;

And adore the way your lips call out me.

Your touch causes me to shiver;

With the load of feelings i could never deliver.

I dont want to lose you,

as you said we are just friends.

Don't want to make you feel guilty,

of any offense.

But what to do with these emotions unknown,

Which eat me away from the dusk to dawn.

I know you could never see me the way i do,

As i can never be that beauty for you.

Should i tell you what i feel when you’re near;

Or keep on enduring this pain forever.

I wish your eyes could never astray;

and you could love me forever and every day.

The third stanza really held me. Just wanting to be friends, but you want to strive for more. Its hard just to watch the man you love want something different than you and I know that. I love this poem. I just plainly love it.
