You remind me of my favorite cup of coffee… your kisses sweet like the flavors on the menu, your love picks me up every morning. Some may see you as strong and bitter, but there’s nothing a little sugar can’t fix; the fact that you’re strong is one of the many reasons I love you so much, not easy to bend or sway.

You remind me of my favorite cup of coffee… I love to savor every single moment with you… this is a caffeine high that makes me feel I can do, anything, anything I set my mind to… the warm feeling I get inside is because of you.

You remind me of my favorite cup of coffee… you always know my exact order, know exactly what I want and need… the barista made you specifically for me… this is why coffee is my favorite, I love your cup of love in every season… I love every sip of you, for me that’s a good enough reason.

i went to the australian countryside recently and found there not a pub as one would expect but a cafe. this drink, coffee, has become the drug of choice of our time. and so it is natural that you liken your lover with a cup of roast. just as we cannot live without caffeine, the persona here cannot live without his beloved. this is an apt similie for our day and age, but you got here before it became a cliche. i enjoyed this fun little piece, a romance that is timely and yet old as time itself.
