In the Mind of a Poet

Being a poet is so much more than about making words rhyme… or if there’s a way to write within a certain time… it’s so much more than metaphors and similes… it’s about the dedication and energy, that you put in… those emotions that come from within… that then transcribes from the pen.

Being a poet means there’s always a need to create… because really, these sentences that are constructed hold a lot of weight… even it makes the majority hate… but somewhere out there, part of the minority can relate…because the poetry you have wrote was written in a way that they felt understood and didn’t need to translate… reading your words is a way to help them escape… within those written words they can find their place.

As a poet, there’s always lots of things going through my mind… like how I should construct this line… or how I want words to intertwine… but most of all if the vision is aligned. Being a poet isn’t as easy as it looks… it’s a lifetime of writing your unpublished book.
