Antediluvian

A Poem by NelliKong

Poetry tends to have a lot of rules… if you fail to follow them you’re a fool… writing critics want to throw you into literacy prison and treat you so cruel… literacy lawyers on the hun for any evidence, even it’s as small as a molecule.

It’s because I don’t write in the right style… guess I have to find a defense attorney in the meanwhile as I await this trial. Since I don’t follow these antiquated rules they want to give me the verdict of being guilty… I don’t want to be imprisoned, this feeling of pen to pad is very much silky. Now it’s my time to take the stand and give my plea… I hope the judge hears me out and doesn’t throw away the key.
