Echoes Remain

Echoes Remain

A Poem by NelliKong

Echoes Remain

These echoes remain… within every part of my brain… my thoughts never took flight and missed the plane… the flight was canceled due to inclement weather of unbearable rain.

The echoes just bounce off the walls… their voices so big you would think they were 10 feet tall… last time I rug the echoes I hung up on the last ring, they never answered my call. The best I could do is leave a voicemail and hope that the echoes will call me back… but let me hold my breath… in case it’s a trap.

These echoes… it’s like they’re asking for help… for all the pain that was felt… from the cards that they’re felt… just for it to befitting on the shelf.

The reason why these echoes remain… is due to lots of pain… weighing heavy on my mind like chains… one day in traffic someone will let me over just so i can drive in a different lane.
