Walls & WindowsA Poem by NelliKongWalls & Windows These walls are so high… these windows are so small… I trued to climb… I tried to crawl… these troubles I just want to get through them all… not to just crash from the sky and fall. I try to look through the small window in hopes of someone seeing me in the distance, however they don’t notice my existence… I know that really doesn’t make sense, but… a girl had to give it a shot, a little bit of persistence… with no one’s assistance… sadly I can’t go back to how things used to be in the past tense. These walls have been closing in… air is becoming sacred to breathe in… there’s cracks in these walls which means they are getting thin… if something else happens, they may just collapse because the foundation has finally caved in. These walls and windows make it feel like a prison… on the other side there’s the opposition… tired of being in this position…. Tired of wasting my breath because no one listens… it’s to the point that when people see me, I look beyond recognition. As I look through this window one more time… I’m trying to see the light… let me see if I can put up one last fight. © 2023 NelliKongReviews
