I'll Give you my Tourniquet

I'll Give you my Tourniquet

A Poem by NelliKong

This tourniquet is squeezing me tight, maybe if it’s tight enough it may eventually give me life. I feel all the tension coming to the surface and now I can see its purpose. This may not be a physical emergency but yet it’s still an urgency but still there’s no help with all these different divergencies; help will arrive too late, certainly. So instead I’ll give my tourniquet to someone else, except I’ll actually help, even if the clock struck twelve. When you feel as though there’s no hope and you can’t keep afloat and thinking should you put the tourniquet around your throat…  just know there’s a helping hand, even though they may not understand, but you’ll soon bounce back like a rubber band. The tourniquet is applying that pressure and also taking measure. This gives new meaning to pain is pleasure. So don’t let the tourniquet be too tight, too things will be alright because it’s not the end of the fight; so kick those trials and tribulations with all your might.
