Dear Future Someone

Dear Future Someone

A Poem by NelliKong

Dear future someone, I hope you find me one day and we become one. I want you to hold me tight and never let go, I want our garden to flourish together and grow. I want us to laugh when the road gets bumpy and love me even on those days when Im grumpy. I don’t want just memories, but I want forever, something that will stand the test of time and survive the horrific weather. I want to be in your full embrace, forever in your presence no matter how long it takes. Your smile will light up my heart, I want to be on every adventure that you embark. On the bad days I want to be able to stand the rain, be able to take away your pain, and knowledge gain. When I see you, you’re the only person in the room and you swept me off my feet as if you were a broom. After a day of battling this world and feel alone, when I walk alongside you I feel at home. If ever the weight of the world and I begin to fall, I want you to grip my hand and stick with me through it all. I want you to be my prince and best friend wrapped into one, to be there at every milestone and battle that I have won. I picture us with a family and the kids ask us how we met, I want you to leave such a mark on me that I could never forget. Your voice speaks volumes, even when you don’t say a word, like your energy has somehow been transferred. So dear future someone, if you ever find me or I find you, I want this bond to fuse together like paper to glue. Which ever way the coin flips, please let it be an opportunity that I don’t miss. Together the world we can devour;

Ever Thine

Ever Mine

Ever Ours

Lets see what the future has to endure

Sincerely,

Future Yours
