The Lonely PrinceA Poem by Mika Haruna
Angels and demons flood put of the palace
Make way for the new king He is here to take his throne at last The lonely prince sits alone in darkness pondering his life Where is he going Is it worth the trouble His card has turned Come here my brethren and drink from the cup of immortality I shall never let my people down They stormed the castle And he let them go one by one The cruel prince With his dark throne He sits at his thrown watching his people drop one by one in dispair A rose stained red with the blood of his followers As they lay slain at his feet This had not been his dream A sweet smell drifts to his nose The blood of his people stain his robes He laughs as madness starts at the corners of his mind Angels and demons storm the castle They watch as the prince retaliates His orders barked out in a flurry of hate Until he notices there is no one left to answer him He falls in deppression. He is all alone in the kingdom A madman sets his eyes on the prince A hand drifts up to his throat He cannot breath His pawns set out on their own No one follows his rule any longer He watches with his last breath as his throne and crown crumble before him A sad fate that had always been laid out before him His head drops in misery He is alone at last. © 2011 Mika Haruna |
