My watery home

My watery home

A Poem by Mika Haruna
"

seagulls pelicans crawfish pie shrimp boats and cajun moonlught nites

"

The seagulls fly through the sky

playing their childish games

pelicans dip into the sea

looking for a meal

i sigh into the cajun moonlit night

craw fish look at me with a tempted glance

sorry little friend, but im hungry

the pie simply did not fill a girl like me

as the shrimp boats make their way

i slip into the warn water

and make my stay once again

in my watery home
