Sick

Sick

A Poem by Mika Haruna

the aches, the pains
the fire in my throat
the heavy breathing, the wheezing
the heat and the cold, shivers and sneezes
they rack my body, and coughs send waves of pain into my chest

im so sick

i take my medicine, my fever goes down
i take cough drops, the pain subsides
its almost over, this sickness
one more night of fits
finaly its over

i wake up and smile
my head is clear, my throat feels fine
no more pain, no more coughs, my fever is gone
i feel better than ever before, freshly renewed, feeling great

im feeling so good
im not sick anymore

This is usually what we all feel when we're sick. Good job at nailing it.

A person with a chronic illness I know how frustrating it can be to feel sick all the time. You penned this quite well.
