My child

My child

A Poem by Mika Haruna

wrapped in blankets, she shivers freely

her mind is playing, practicaly reeling

she cannot understand this feeling

even though the sun shone

she felt the chill

in her bones

her mother cries and says a prayer

she hopes her child can grow bigger

the girl falls into her mothers arms, eyes open

her spirit is broken, she cries, with a brand new fear

that she will not live to the end of this year, and down falls a tear

her mother whispers, now you will begin a journey with out me

soon, my child, you will be completely free

into the makers hands you will lay

until comes the day

i cant delay

I will return to you, my child

from this earth, i will be exiled

and you shall soon be in my arms

finally safe from any and all harm
