Hourglass

Hourglass

A Poem by Mika Haruna

Night casts

an ugly shadow

death casts

a drawing whisper

a fading heart

pushes you far away

only one can

ease your pain

the painful me casts a weary glance

toward the fading hourglass

time draws near, unseen

hands taking hold of

her being, drawing

her to the dark

realm

No wings to signal the end

she hears the tick tock of

an unfding clock, while

time waits at a

cross road

undecided
