Mirror

A Poem by Mika Haruna

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, is this the face of a killer?

One who takes life without abandon, and does not

feel compassion. Mirror, mirror, who am I? This girl

Who loves this special guy, him and only him

but he has the heart of another.

Mirror, what is this? this feeling

i get, pencil in hand, the itch

to write, the need to draw

mirror, mirror, is this

a flaw?

Mirror, Oh, mirror, take this picture of me.

this innocent girl in love, a love that will

never be accepted, for he is in love, yes

with another man. Mirror, Oh, mirror

How does she feel, this girl, who

takes the pills. Who cuts her

wrist, and lets it bleed, is

she dying on the inside?

please answer me,

Mirror, Oh, mirror.

although this is brilliantly written, it is a very disturbing look into the mind of
a soul who cries out for unrequited love and finds only sorrow and the desire
to end that precious spark within. suicidal thoughts are very disturbing to me
for i have been there and seen loved ones actually bring that dark place to fruition.
excellent write, although troubling.
