The Silent Me

The Silent Me

A Poem by Mika Haruna

Death fails

to reach her

The silent me

escapes to live

in the stars above

A whisper in

the night, a small

breeze lifts my eyes

I look upon her with

pity in my gaze, for this girl

The silent me

stares back with

eyes gray. A silent

tear rolls down a pale

cheek. She prays for death

A fallen star

takes her away

a quiet place where

she is left to die. A smile

taunts the silent me, she has Her prayer
