Imaginary Friend

Imaginary Friend

A Poem by Mika Haruna

The playground bell rings again.

Has she come to play again?

My friend, the one with

the knife in her hand

who protects me

and only me

alone.

No one can see her.

No one can hear her.

She is mine.

She is always with me.

when the teachers

ask, about the

cuts

Lie she whispers

So I lie

Cuts on my wrist.

when she leaves

she is my only

friend, the

only one.

She cannot stop the bleeding.

I panic and ask her for help

but she is gone, nowhere

to be seen. the blood

flows, hot and thick

a mixture with my

tears now all is

gone.

Sad and goes from innocence to darkness instantly. Nice job!

Gorey. This should be made into a movie. It reminds me of the morbid imaginary friends I had.
