Drifting Along

Drifting Along

A Poem by Neilp
"

Drifting along evokes a sense of serene detachment, moving effortlessly with the flow of life.

"

Beneath the skies, so wide and blue,
I float where winds and waters choose.
No path to mark, no map to hold,
Just whispers soft, and tales untold.

The current hums a gentle song,
I’m weightless here, just drifting along.
No rush, no fight, the world feels wide,
A quiet joy, the tide my guide.

I like how you describe it as “serene detachment” because that’s what it felt like reading this. It reminded me of when you lay on your back and float and you’re so relaxed you could fall asleep (but definitely don’t do that if you’re in water).
