The Mind and the Sea

The Mind and the Sea

A Poem by Neilp
"

Comparing the mind to the storm tossed sea.

"

Beneath the surface, calm or wild,
The sea, like the mind, is undefiled.
Its waves may crash, its tempests roar,
Yet depths remain, a quiet core.

The mind, a mirror, vast and deep,
Where dreams awaken and shadows sleep.
Thoughts drift like tides, rise and fall,
Some fleeting whispers, others a call.

The sea reflects the moonlit sky,
A canvas where emotions lie.
The mind, too, holds the stars within,
A universe where stories begin.

Both hold treasures, hidden away,
Secrets of night, echoes of day.
Pearls of wisdom, wrecks of regret,
Memories we cherish, some we forget.

The sea can rage with storms untamed,
Much like the mind, when fears are claimed.
But calm returns, a soothing balm,
As both find balance, still and calm.

Oh, the sea and the mind, a kinship they share,
Endless horizons, boundless and rare.
A journey awaits, through wave and thought,
A timeless dance where truth is sought.

Remarkable!
I picked your piece at random to view. I'm blown away! Among the finest I've ever read in the Cafe ... or anywhere for that matter!
