Twilight

Twilight

A Poem by Neal S

If you think me mad
The door to my heart closed
Window panes broken and shattered
Falling leaves in grey winter
She sets my blood aflame
I want to be under her skin
The liquid curve of her back
Rising breast like baking bread
Velvet depths between her thighs
If you think me mad
My love
My heart like stones scattered in empty streets
It is because of her
Eyes closed
Breath an empty book on her shelf
I fade into the twilight
