Magnolia AvenueA Poem by Neal STripping down magnolia avenue With prophets coming into view The wind brings your perfume drifting through Smells like home to me Smile on my face and feeling fine Poets round a table killing time But I'm an infant in their mind Beards long and sipping wine But that's when I know iv'e got to go Concrete seems to move with me down below I don't even try and say hello They wouldn't understand I catch the next alley where the windows wrap My psychedelic mind noticing the trap Of the police at the end of the way As I advance Taking this chance Trying not to look as if I was in some type of trance The officer tilts his head with a strange glance "Son. Why aren't you wearing any pants?
