Spring

Spring

A Poem by Neftali B.F.

Dormant it laid
Unknowing of this world
You awoke it from a slumber
Slowly it rouse
Feelings of warmth took hold
The stronger it became
The deeper I became rooted
Unable to break free of it's hold
I struggled to contain it
It only grew stronger

Standing face to face
It can no longer be contained
It comes from deep within
Flowing out of me
I break my silence
I take a chance

Cold & Hot
Excited & Scared
A surge of warm
Not from within me
But from you
Fills me

My warmth becomes yours
Your warmth becomes mine
In that moment
In this instance
We become one
