The Indignant TeenagerA Poem by Neeraj V MuraliThe Indignant TeenagerThe teacher raised his voice in anger, but, for having done such a thing in his class, I was, alas, being called a mutt, a mutt, this did irk me much so, for I did sass.
When I hadn't done anything so so vile, What was the scolding for, that I must know, this I did say, gone was my smile, my smile, But I did have to fling my hand out, though................
Wham! Wham! My hand and the cane did meet, touch, Pain searing, my hand ached for some relief, but I was not let off the hook as such, and there I was, just trembling like a leaf.
While my pals were relishing the ridiculous scene, Oh, what a spell it is, to be a teen.................... © 2014 Neeraj V MuraliAuthor's Note
