Seasons

Seasons

A Poem by Hogwarts
"

The seasons personified

"

She comes swiftly and quietly

Draining my world of color and warmth

Her icy breath stirs up fallen leaves

They swirl and dance around me

Drops of white fall as she whistles her chilling tune

She brings frigid death and haunting beauty

He sleepily peeks through the trees

Then groggily pokes up from the ground

His smile blossoms as color returns

He breathes into the earth and it exhales life

Laughing creatures come flitting and fluttering

Fresh music flowers all around me

She rises with the sun

Her heated gaze bearing down upon me

Children splash and sing her song

She overwhelms me with her scorching embrace

She overstays her welcome always

Suffocating me as she tightens her blistering grip

He comes on a tomorrow

His cool breath bringing colors of warmth

He has come to tuck the trees back into bed

They sing and dance as their fiery leaves fall around me

He paints my world with hues of gold and bronze

The earth is his canvas, and beauty his medium
