No Sympathy From MeA Poem by MiraAbout a woman who I tried to help years ago. Didn't change. Married 5 times. Out of 8 kids, 7 taken by the system. She is the offender talked about in my 1st poem here.
Poem written September 2016
"No Sympathy From Me" What did you think when you became a mother? Did you envision that it would be easy? Like it would be just a walk in the park Sunny, but not too breezy? What did you think when things got hard? That you could just walk away And leave the children to their own devices What a way to leave them astray Your children are a reflection of you So become what you want them to be Nurture them as they grow And always love unconditionally But that is not how it was with you As it shows that they were maltreated Constantly being passed around Their adjustment to the norm impeded Using your children as your personal pawns Adding fuel to an already burning fire Helping to entice a personal windfall Feeding on your own selfish desire The children were never your first priority You have made that abundantly clear As they have been thrown by the wayside For others to pick up and call them dear Quit pretending that you are doing all you can As they continue to wait and wonder Every day that goes by strains their hearts As you make excuses for your pitiful blunders © 2025 Mira |
