Water Light

Water Light

A Poem by Karen
"

The someplace between water and light

"

A splash of color calms
the feel of light where
clouds gather to watch
the sun play on water
with energy drawn from
a blue horizon of shadow
rays a mirage of water
light peeking through
as the air watches
from a distance

this reminds me of people...some actually interact with each other...and cause colors to change hue....and points of view...while others just watch...keeping their space from involvement.

nicely worded, Karen.

It seems to me that you view most of the traits of Nature as playful little children interacting with each other. Everything that you're aware of has a personality that may be played out within a poem that reveals its true significance. You did a fine job here of express this relationship within Nature. Color clams, Clouds gather to watch; the Sun plays; Light peeks, and Air watches.

Nature is an eternal child.
Great personificaton in this one. Though I have only read a few of your poems, I see a lot of poetry centers on the shoreline, the sky, the sun. I find all three very inspirational as well and perhaps that is why I enjoy your poetry as much as I do. Great work. Lydi**

I loved this. Your contrast of water and light blend so well. The light make water glisten..water is the suns mirror. Great piece. Rain..
