How unexpected, the dawn breaking after a long night of partying, the way the light penetrates through thick curtains and leaves behind a trace, a sliver of the new day, and even as I pull the covers over my head, the sun makes its way into my bedroom, and I find you laying there beside me.
Well, it isn't a subject you read an ode to everyday. The notion of the sun making its way into the bedroom, and the "trace" left behind is wry and dry. Clever and well-built stuff.
"...and leaves behind
a trace, a sliver" - great choice of words for the oops in question Karen.
I liked the humour behind a scenario that could be life-changing.
Well handled and written.
