Darken the Light

Darken the Light

A Poem by violetta york / nicki elle

As time goes on, I only get older.
They say as we age, we wise; for them they feel as if they are only getting younger
The spirit is becoming more free, and enlightened
As for me, I am getting darker!
I can hear the soft moans of the night, only getting louder
My own spirit hallucinating and screaming with pleasure of the lost I have become
I am obedient, to who owns me. I am a property of the man, the hurt and the dark.
I see the stares from a distant, and from the foggy grave I wish I was there too.
As if you didn't look down on me from above, I'm only getting deeper.
My body is used up and old, not good for my age
I crave the touch of a soul that won't ever come because I won't allow it too.
And when everyone leaves again, I will be angry
But I will find new people to fill the void again..
To hurt me, to use me, to abuse me and then leave me again.
