Hallucinations

i haven't wrote in awhile, so i thought i would update my account with this silly poem. enjoy :)

Pink elephants are floating in the sky,

all you get to eat is a delicious pie.

The neon blue clouds are touching our skin,

our swimming pool is now just a big tin.

The rebirth of our souls tonight,

we are bringing shining lights so bright.

Another tab to break the ice.

the life around us is so big and nice.

I am you, lets trade places,

everyone you haven't met are familiar faces.

Here tonight we all make our big breaks;

the tap water you drink is from the lakes.

We cut our beaks off and break our wings;

dance around a campfire as an old man sings,

free tonight without a care in the world,

no more cloudy days or our heads in a whirl.

The first line reminded me of Winnie the Pooh with the heffalumps and woozles. But besides that, I loved this. You made me see line after line in my head and took me to a far enough place where I could escape reality. Not that anyone of us really like reality anyways, but this was a lovely escape :)

I really liked this. It requires an imagination, something I feel a lot of writers lack anymore. It's nice to see something silly once in a while, and you did a great job with this. Nicely done. :)
