A close family friend passed away today (October 16,2012). He was very important to me and recently I have been thinking about him a lot. Just a short poem I wrote in his memory. RIP Jerry <3

The love in your eyes;

for a lost daughter,

a young mother, 

a family gone wrong.

The hope you gave us;

to make us happy,

to make us proud,

to help us live.

You're memory will live forever;

in my heart,

in my eyes,

in my mind.

Nothing will be the same;

since you went to the grave.

I'll meet you in the Summerlands,

soon again.

But for now, goodbye old friend.

This too, shall pass.
